Sprouting Potatoes:
Since Haley was learning about potatoes in her science lessons, I thought it would be fun to sprout some purple potatoes.
First, we watched an episode of the Sci Show Kids from her Sonlight Core F playlist.
She used toothpicks to poke into the potato and we placed it in a glass jar filled with water. We placed it in a dark cabinet and waited.
The potato sprouted at the top, but we still didn’t see roots developing.
After a few more weeks, the top was sprouting, but we still didn’t see any roots growing in our water jar. Not all experiments go as expected…that’s a life lesson in itself! 🙂
