We continued to read through our chapter lessons in the FIAR Bible and Character Supplement.

SOCIAL STUDIES:

History – Commodore Perry:

Jordan read about Commodore Perry in A Child’s Geography of the World.

Commodore Perry played a big role in Japan opening its doors to trade with the outside world.

Life Skills – Being Neighborly:

Jordan recently read Who Was Mister Rogers? He studied his life and career as a research project for his Language Arts program (BB&C).

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Names for Houses:

Of course we needed to reread The Old Woman Who Named Things.

Writing & Discussion Question:

Bub wrote the answer to the discussion question in his FIAR notebook.
