Today we’re book pairing Over in the Ocean In a Coral Reef with a timeless treat….Rice Krispies.  Introducing….Coral REEF Krispies!

We used the microwave directions on the box and added pink food coloring (before adding the cereal).

I scooped a generous heap into each cup and used my hands to form it into a coral-shaped treat.  Once cool, I removed it from the cupcake pan.

We like to use Marzipan to shape into our sea creatures.  I gave the kids a yellow, red, and blue tinted ball of Marzipan.

They got right to work mixing, molding, and making little sea creatures.

They turned out really cute and delicious!
