Root Word Rhymes:

I printed the Snowy Day Root Word Rhyme cards (in GGB). I taped the word cards on the door and his the root words and matching rhyme cards around the room.

The boys hunted for the root word and rhyming word cards and paired them on the door.

The boys had their own set of words, so they were able to hunt and grab only the words that belonged to them.

Parker and I added a “Weather” page to his science notebook since we knew we would be working on fun projects during this unit.

The boys tracked the weather on their worksheets (The Mailbox).  This week we had a great variety of sunny, cloudy, and rainy weather.
