BIBLE:
This is our final Sonlight Level C post for the school year. We’ve had such fun this year.
Memory Verse:
I printed the final verse of our Psalm 100 Bible verse pack.

You can download your FREE copy here at our TPT Store.

On Monday, Parker traced his Bible verse while listening to the Sing the Word track.

On Tuesday, he illustrated his verse.

On Wednesday, we cut his verse apart and he glued it into his Bible notebook.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Salt Water Evaporation:
I thought it would be fun to evaporate salt water just like Ghandi and the people of India.

I set out the ingredients, filled our kettle with water, and set it to boil.

We mixed salt into our boiling water and stirred it until it incorporated.

We tinted them various shades of the ocean and set them on the counter near the window.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Grammar Grab Bag:
For our final Sonlight week, I created a Beach Themed Grammar Grab Bag #36 (GGB).

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.
Spelling:
I printed and added the spelling cards, letter tiles, spelling mat, and coordinating worksheet in his Monday (red) folder.

First, I read a spelling card aloud and Parker used the tiles to spell it out on his mat.

Next, he cut and pasted his spelling words in alphabetical order on his worksheet (in GGB).

Lastly, he used his spelling cards to write his word list on his practice worksheet (in GGB).

On Tuesday, he used his spelling cards to complete his Fun Facts spelling worksheet (in GGB).
Apostrophes & Possession:
On Tuesday, we reviewed his grammar lesson on using apostrophes and possessive pronouns to show possession.

Afterwards, he completed his Grammar by the Sea worksheet (in GGB).
Frog & Toad:
This was our final week with Frog and Toad (sniff, sniff), but we made the most of it with a few fun activities to remember two of our favorite characters!
Storybook Garden:
I created a Storybook Garden sprout house for the kids to grow special seeds on our window.

You can grab your FREE copy here at our TPT Store!

I set out a basket with seeds, a ziplock bag, paper, and the storybook sprout house.
Parker and I taped the ziplock bag to the back, sprayed our paper napkin with water with the seeds sandwiched in between.

Parker taped it to the glass door. We used a rolled piece of tape to close the cover so it wouldn’t flop open.
Cookies:
After reading about cookies, we HAD to make a batch of cookies. I found a healthy honey-based chocolate chip cookie recipe (The Food Charlatan).
Parks helped measure and mix the ingredients. I scooped and baked them.

Now don’t get me wrong….these weren’t your typical ooey-gooey buttery cookies, but they were a sweet HEALTHY treat!
That’s all for our 36th and final Sonlight Level C week! We’ve had such fun and made many wonderful memories on our learning journey! Lord willing, we’ll see you next year!
