This week Parker started memorizing the eighth and ninth verses. On Monday, he traced his verses and we glued them into his notebook on Tuesday.
On Thursday, he recited verses six through nine from memory.
Full Armor of God:
I’ve really enjoyed reading Tony Evan’s A Kid’s Guide to the Armor of God. This week, we continued our study of the armor of God.
We continued reading about the shoes of peace.
Parker continued mapping out the facts as I read about the pieces of armor.
This week, we read about California, trees and perseverance as we started our new book, The Tree Lady.
I printed our March calendar worksheet for this activity.
We read the March poem in A Child’s Calendar.
First, Parker helped set up our calendar for March.
Afterwards, he added dates, birthdays and holidays.
Food & Nutrition:
This week we continued catching up on the experiments from our Food and Nutrition for Every Kid.
Ch 10 – Weighty:
I created a worksheet in Parker’s science notebook for calculating his BMI.
Parker recorded the data in his science notebook and was able to successfully calculate his BMI.
