Jordan has read about planes and pilots, so it’s nice when his science reading aligns with FIAR.
Life Skills – Dealing with Death:
Jordan is a true rough, tough and tumble boy, but he has a very tender heart. It’s what I love best about him. He loves deeply and truly worries over losing the people he loves most. He lost a dear family friend during the COVID pandemic and it hit him hard. This vulnerability has allowed us to have wonderful deep conversations about fear, faith and the Lord helping us through our struggles.
Life Skills – Determination:
This boy has a bucket-load of determination when he’s set his mind on accomplishing something. It’s usually a DIY project. I keep praying he uses that grit and tenacity to tackle academics – he would be an unstoppable force!

Summarizing Information:
The chapter book volumes of Five in a Row have been a platform for Jordan reading and giving me a proper summary of what he’s learned. Summarizing is such a valuable skill.
