BIBLE:

Memory Verse:

Jordan memorized Psalm 32:7 for this chapter. He copied it in his FIAR notebook.

Character Study:

We continued to read through our chapter lessons in the FIAR Bible and Character Supplement.

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Writing & Discussion Question:

Jordan answered the discussion question in his FIAR notebook.

Shakespeare’s Plays:

Jordan will have opportunities to read Shakespeare in high school; however, I thought reading a few stories from Usborne Illustrated Stories from Shakespeare might be the right exposure.

In addition to his assigned readershad Jordan read Romeo and Juliette, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, and Hamlet.

Vocabulary:

Jordan completed a vocabulary worksheet for this chapter.

SCIENCE:

We used our Rivers & Streams book for both our algae and water pollution lessons.

Algae:

Jordan read about algae and the causes of a super-bloom.

Water Pollution:

He also read about pollutants and how water plants benefit rivers by filtering out harmful chemicals.

Carbon Monoxide:

I assigned a few carbon monoxide segments for Jordan to read about in What’s Chemistry all About?.
