SATURDAY THREE
BIBLE:
Memory Verse:

Jordan memorized Ephesians 5:19 for his verse this week. He recorded it in his FIAR notebook.
Character Study:

We continued to read through our chapter lessons in the FIAR Bible and Character Supplement.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Modernization – Different Jobs for Different People:

When talking about modernization, Homer Price “The Donuts” chapter comes to mind. Jordan recently studied the book earlier in the school year.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Writing & Discussion Question:

Jordan answered the discussion question in his FIAR notebook.
Vocabulary:

He completed the vocabulary worksheet for this chapter.
SCIENCE:
Snow:

We still reminisce our trip to Lake Tahoe with Grandpa. We had such a blast!

Though not as much fun as playing in the snow, Jordan read about it in It’s Snowing! by Gail Gibbons.
Rabies in Animals:
I added a clip about rabies on our The Saturdays playlist.
FINE ARTS:
Orchestra:
We bought “My First Classical Music App”, when we first studied “Peter and the Wolf” while rowing The Quiet Way Home.

In addition to reading about orchestras, Jordan played around on our orchestra app.
Peter and the Wolf:

I still remember watching Sesame Street’s rendition of “Peter and the Wolf” while rowing The Quiet Way Home.

Jordan perused the familiar “Woodwind Family” we explored back then.
HELPFUL LINKS:
Chapter Book GRAB BAG:
I created a Grab Bag for the The Saturdays FIAR Unit. The Grab Bag series is a collection of worksheets and/or activities that I created while studying the FIAR Chapter Book units with my children.

You can purchase your copy HERE at our TPT Store.
*NOTE: Please be aware that any printable from the Grab Bag series may have worksheets that are similar and/or the same as those available in our other printables. We try to include anything that could enhance your student(s) learning experience as you row the chapter book series.
Pinterest Board:
You can find most of the activities, ideas, and printables from this post on The Saturdays Pinterest Board.
Youtube Playlist:
As with our other rows, we created The Saturdays Playlist with read-alouds, music, science, and other clips.
