Cranberry Science:
We have several new science printables in time for the holiday season. This year we’re focusing on our favorite fall berry, the cranberry.
Growing Cranberries
Our Growing Cranberries pack includes a SNACKtivity as well as a short teaching lesson on growing cranberries in the bog.
The main focus of this science pack is the layered soil of the cranberry bog. Teachers read a short text on the various layers of soil and students follow along as they build their own edible bog with 4 fun ingredients (ingredients can be varied).
Once the lesson is complete, students can work independently on their cut & paste worksheet to reinforce this fun science lesson.
Cranberry Fruit Science Pack
Our Cranberry Fruit Science Printable Pack includes Parts of the Cranberry 3-part cards, a set of definition cards, a label the cranberry worksheet, a lapbook insert/booklet. You can purchase this pack for just $1.50 at our TPT store.
The Label the Cranberry worksheet is a temporary FREEbie for Thanksgiving! Click here to download your free copy!
The Parts of the Cranberry 3-part cards (nomenclature cards), definition cards, and booklet are great to use together or alone.
Create a Cranberry Exploration Science Center with fresh berries and plastic knives. Students can dissect the fruit themselves!
After dissecting their berries, they can color in their lapbook insert or cranberry worksheet! By the end of this unit, your students will learn that cranberries are more than just a yummy jelly that comes from a can!
