Jordan LOVES reading Owl at Home. I thought it would be fun to finish our last chapter (Owl and the Moon) with a fun moon science activity.

Phases of the Moon:

I brought out our Phases of the Moon Cards, mini Oreos, a plastic spoon, and a small paper plate with 8 small circles.

I laid out our Moon cards in order and the kids scraped their Oreo filling to match the eight phases.

They placed their Oreo phases in the small circles using the cards as a guide.

While waiting for his sister, Jordan listened to one of his favorite moon songs on Sesame Street.

They gobbled each Oreo phase as I read the definition cards.
