FIAR Bible Supplement:

We split up the FIAR Bible lessons for this Chapter over two days – one about the prodigal son and the other about the eternal word of God.

Bible Verse:

We chose to memorize Isaiah 40:8 as our Bible verse for this chapter.

SOCIAL STUDIES:

Geography – Prairie Notebook:

Parker added the flora and fauna entries in his prairie notebook.

Geography – Ocean Notebook:

Parker read About Habitats Seashores.

In addition, he read Beachcombing Exploring the Seashore by Jim Arnosky.

He added an entry with a variety of shells, flora and fauna in his FIAR ocean notebook.

Life Skills – Origin of Personal Traits:

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Writing & Discussion Question:

Parker answered the discussion question in his FIAR notebook.

Read-Aloud:

We continued read The Tale of Despereaux while rowing Sarah, Plain and Tall.

Vocabulary Words:

Parker completed the vocabulary worksheet for this chapter.

SCIENCE:

Seashells:

Parker read About Mollusks and sketched various shells in his ocean notebook.
