FIAR Bible Supplement:

Parker read the FIAR Bible lessons for this Chapter from the FIAR Bible Supplement.

Bible Verse:

We chose to memorize Genesis 15:5 as our Bible verse for this chapter.

SOCIAL STUDIES:

Geography – Prairie Notebook:

Parker read Prairie Days by Patricia MacLachlan.

Parker added the flora and fauna entries in his prairie notebook. 

Geography – Ocean Notebook:

Parker and I read About Habitats Oceans.

Then we sat together and read Over and Under the Waves.

Afterwards, he added entries in his FIAR ocean notebook.

Life Skills – Making Others Smile:

This book was from an old row that has become a family favorite. The illustrations and the last page had us rolling with laughter. It became a birthday present for my middle guy. So when we saw this unit, I brought it out again. I love ALL our FIAR memories!

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Writing & Discussion Question:

Parker answered the discussion question in his FIAR notebook.

Alliteration:

Parker read If You Were Alliteration.

Afterwards, Parker completed his Awesome Autumn Alliteration worksheet.

Read-Aloud:

We continued reading The Tale of Despereaux while rowing Sarah, Plain and Tall.

Vocabulary Words:

Parker completed the vocabulary worksheet for this chapter.

SCIENCE:

Sand and Dunes:

Parker read Is Sand a Rock? On our EPIC app.

I added several clips about sand dunes in our Sarah, Plain and Tall playlist.

Buzzards and Vultures:

Parker read Amazing Animals Vultures on our EPIC app.

He completed his Prairie Bird Wildlife worksheet.

I added several clips about vultures in our Sarah, Plain and Tall playlist.
