In addition to reading the FIAR Manual, Parker read the second chapter, “Religion” in the African-American Culture book on our EPIC app.
History – A Quick Comparison of Edison and Carver:


First, Parker read A Picture Book of George Washington Carver and A Picture Book of Thomas Edison.

Next, he used the Venn Diagram worksheet from our Grab Bag to note the differences and similarities between the two men.
Life Skills – Learning More About Adoption:

To compliment this FIAR unit, Parker read Let’s Talk About Adoption by Fred Rogers.

Since we didn’t have any designated science units for this chapter, Parker continued reading form the National Geographic Kids Guide to Genealogy book.

St. Patrick’s Day:

We started our Day with a festive bowl of Lucky Charms! Needless to say, all children were THRILLED!

Later in the day, Parker and I read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover just for fun.
