For this chapter, Parker wrote and memorized Psalm 19:1.

Life Skills – Owning a Pet:

Parker has ALWAYS wanted a pet bird, specifically a parrot. This was a perfect opportunity to learn more about what it takes to care for a small pet.

Parker read Small Pets.

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Writing & Discussion Question:

Parker answered this chapter’s discussion question in his FIAR Notebook.

SCIENCE:

Parts of a Flower:

First, Parker read What’s Inside a Flower by Rachel Ignotofsky.

Afterwards, he worked on flower worksheets from the artist’s website.

Garden and Flowers:

First, Parker read A Year in Our New Garden by Gerda Muller.

Then he read Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt.

Afterwards, he planned sketch his garden plan for this spring.

Genealogy:

On the days we didn’t have a FIAR science unit, Parker continued reading from the National Geographic Kids Guide to Genealogy book.
