March brings rain, clouds, puddles, and rainbows. Today we learned about rainbows and did a fun color mixing activity.
I brought out our Noodles I Love Colors! reader and set up a color mixing tray (3 baby food jars filled with water, tinted red, yellow, and blue, 3 droppers, and a six-slotted paint tray).
Parker was SO excited to start this activity!
We started reading about yellow and red mixing to make orange. As we read through the story, Parker added the colors to his paint tray.
He mixed his little heart out until the last slot was filled with purple.
Then he asked to have all six colors on his tray. He mixed to his little heart’s content! He had so much fun he asked if he could do this activity again tomorrow!
