Haley was learning about Chromatography during her science lessons this week. I thought it would be fun to do a chromatography experiment.

Haley and I set up a tray with empty glass jars, coffee filters, pens, and a pitcher of water.

Haley colored the coffee filters.

Then she poured water in each jar.

Then she placed the colored filter in the jar.

After the water climbed up the filter, we dumped out the excess water and set them aside to dry.  What a really cool experiment!
