BIBLE:
Memory Verse:
I created a Bible verse tracer page for this week’s Bible verse.

You can download your FREE copy here at our TPT Store.

On Monday, Parker traced his BIBLE verse while listening to his Sing the Word track.

On Tuesday, Parker traced his Bible verse.

On Wednesday, we cut up the verse and Parker glued it together in his laptop.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
The Wild West:
Since we were reading about the wild west in history, I brought out our Pilgrim and Native American Safari Toob.
The boys set up the figures while I read aloud. History truly came alive! So cool!
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Grammar Grab Bag:
I created a Hoppy Easter themed Grammar Grab Bag (GGB) for this week’s language arts activities.

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.
Spelling:
I placed the spelling mats, letter tiles, spelling cards, and worksheets (in GGB) in Parker’s Monday (red) folder.

First, I read one of Parker’s spelling cards and he used the letter tiles to spell it out.

Afterwards, he used his spelling cards to practice writing his spelling words.

On Tuesday, Parker used his spelling cards to complete his spelling worksheet.
Sound Sorting:
I also added Parker’s Easter Treat cards and sound sorting mat (in GGB) to his Monday (red) folder.

Parker read and sorted the words by sound.

Afterwards, he used his dot paints to complete his Easter Treats Color by Code worksheet.
Linking Verbs:
I printed a added Mr. Bunny’s Linking Verbs worksheet (in GGB) in Parker’s Tuesday (yellow) folder.

On Tuesday, we reviewed linking verbs. Afterwards, Parker completed his Mr. Bunny’s Linking Verbs worksheet (in GGB).
Frog & Toad:
Around the Corner Cake:
Parker LOVES the The Frog and Toad Collection Series. Today he read “The Corner”, which was all about spring. I thought it would be fun to make a spring-themed ake.
I brought out our chocolate whacky cake recipe. Parker and I measured and mixed. We baked it in the ovrn.

We used our marshmallow ducks, green coconut grass, and little Cadbury eggs.
MATH:
Capacity:
This week Parker was learning about capacity. We brought out our Learning Resources Classroom Liquid Measuring Set.

This was really hands-on math. Parker LOVED pouring the water from one container to the next.
When we were done, we brought out our Math notebook and reviewed our capacity pages.
Stop Light Math Facts:
I created a Red Light, Green Light Math-By-Dice Pack for the boys to review their seven, eight, and nine times tables.

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.

After writing “7”, “8”, and “9” on the blank worksheet, I gave Parker a dice to roll and told him to write and multiply any number above three.

Afterwards, Parker color-coded the answers.
SCIENCE:
Boats:

We brought out our Playmobil boats to use for our science lesson.

As I read, the boys put together some new sets and used our boat to identify some of the parts we read about.
Trains:

I brought out our train toob while reading about trains in science.
JUST FOR FUN:
Happy Easter:

This Easter was definitely different as we sheltered in place, but the kids woke up to a “Hoppy Easter” eggs and pancakes breakfast.

Randy and I put their baskets together the night before.
We opened baskets, watched our church service online, had a fun lunch, and created a dessert buffet. Though the kids missed going to church and celebrating Easter with family and friends, they said it was still a great Easter!
