BIBLE:
Memory Verse:
I created a Bible verse tracer for our verse this week.

You can download you FREE copy here at our TPT Store.
On Monday, the boys traced their verse while listening to their track.
On Tuesday, the boys illustrated their Bible verse.
On Wednesday, the boys cut and pasted their Bible verse. On Thursday, they recited their verse by heart.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Christmas Across America:
We started our Christmas season by reading excerpts from Christmas USA , specifically the Northwest and the Postal Service!
I printed copies of our Christmas Across America – The Northeast for the boys to read and complete.

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.
The boys worked on several of the worksheets from the pack.
Since we were learning about New York and the Northeast states, we read Home Alone 2: Lost in New York: The Classic Illustrated Storybook (Pop Classics).
The kids colored their Christmas Around the World United States worksheet (Little Red).
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Grammar Grab Bag:
I created our grammar packs earlier, so they are slightly behind the calendar. This week was a harvest festival themed pack, but I revised our copy with a gingerbread theme so the pictures may differ than the actual grammar pack.

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.
Spelling:

First, Parker practiced forming words on his spelling mat (in GGB). Next, I had him practice writing his spelling word by sound.

On Tuesday, he completed his spelling word search (in GGB).
Gingerbread Grammar:

Parker and I read Gingerbread Baby and pointed out the dialogue, attribution, and direct address.

Afterwards, Parker completed the Gingerbread Baby Dialogue, Attribution, & Direct Address worksheet.
Reading:
We read a few more Thanksgiving books before changing our thematic shelf for the Christmas season.
MATH:
Calendar:
I printed a copy of our December calendar worksheets for the kids to work on .

I planned to have the boys complete their calendar worksheets; however, this week, we used the desk calendars our friend Barb gave us.
The boys added icons for birthdays and holidays.
Math Lapbook:
This week, Parker and I added a multiplication and division entry in his Math lapbook.

Parker used the stars to mark each mathematical concept.
SCIENCE:
Sea Monsters:

I set out a basket of Aaron’s putty and our deep seas toob.
Everyone had fun making imprints and playing with the putty. This was a really fun and low-key activity.
A New Species:
Parker created a new species, “Garganutor” to lurk in the deep blue sea!
