BIBLE:

I created a Bible tracer worksheet for this week’s verse.

You can download your FREE copy here at our TPT Store.

On Monday, the boys traced their Bible verse.

They cut & pasted the verse in their Bible notebook.

LANGUAGE ARTS:

5th Grade:

This week, Bub and I reviewed compound subjects, predicates, and words using his Grammar Ace notebook.

3rd Grade:

I created a Spring Puddles Grammar Grab Bag (GGB) for this week’s language arts activities.

You can purchase your copy here at out TPT Store.

Spelling:

I printed his spelling cards, letter tiles and mat (in GGB).

First, we practiced building a couple of spelling words.

Next, he used his spelling cards to complete his Spelling Scavenger Hunt worksheet.

On Tuesday, he completed his spelling word search puzzle.

Story Order Words:

First, Parker used his dot painted to complete the story order words worksheet.

Next, I had him read Walt Disney’s Cinderella. He seemed less than enthused, but he actually enjoyed the story. The more you know, right?

Afterwards, he put the story in order using the worksheets in our GGB.

Reading:

We read several spring-themed books this week.

MATH:

5th Grade:

This week Jordan was working on Geometry, specifically measuring angles and triangles, in his Singapore math lessons.

We added terms and examples in his Math notebook.

3rd Grade:

Parker was learning about measuring in his Singapore math lessons.

We added new definitions to his Math Notebook too.

SCIENCE:

TOPs – Corn & Beans:

How Plants Grow:

Parker and I marked and predicted the growth pattern of his plants.

Wrapping Up:

Since Parker finished his TOPs project, we moved his plants outside.

We transplanted our tops corn in our garden box. It looks a little sad, but we’ll see how they fare. As for our radish transplants, two plants are really thriving.
