Though we covered the full load, it was a short week since we planned an overnight trip to see the Gaither Vocal Band in concert.

This week Parker started memorizing verses 6 and seven. On Monday, he traced his verses and we glued them into his notebook on Tuesday.

By Wednesday, he was able to recite them by heart.

We weren’t able to read many extra books, but we did continue Still More Stories from Grandma’s Attic.

Food & Nutrition:

This week we continued catching up on the experiments from our Food and Nutrition for Every Kid.
Ch 9 – Food Labels:
I created a science worksheet in Parker’s science notebook for this experiment. After reading about nutrition labels, I brought out several boxes of cereal.

Parker recorded the data in his science notebook and was able to identify the “healthiest” cereal in the bunch!
JUST FOR FUN:
Happy Pi Day!

We celebrated Pi day with a well-ROUNDed breakfast and a Cat in the Hat read-aloud! It was a crazy week, but we managed to pack a full school week into three days!
Overnight Getaway:
After recovering from a cold, everyone was ready for a fun outing. We packed our bags and hit the road on Thursday!

It was such an uplifting concert. Everyone had so much fun, but time flew by way too quickly!
