Memory Verse:

I created a Bible verse printable for Matthew 5:1-16.

On Tuesday, Parker traced the next two verses and glued it in his notebook on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, he glued it in his Bible notebook. On Thursday, he recited the first 14 verses by heart.

SOCIAL STUDIES:

This week, we finalized our study of Australia.

Australia:

As we wrapped up our study of Australia, we read about coral reefs.

Parker and I read Jump Into Science Coral Reefs.

We also read about Coral reefs in our Usborne Animal Homes book.

Parker color-coded the coral reefs around the world and completed the Flora and Fauna of a Coral Reef from our growing bundle.

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Reading:

We finished reading Treasure Island and studying The Little Island.

Book Study:

This week, we continued studying of The Little Island.

We continued reading about the beach as well as sea creatures and animal homes.

SCIENCE:

Food & Nutrition:

This week we continued catching up on the experiments from our Food and Nutrition for Every Kid.

Ch 15 – Colorful:

I created a worksheet to go with this activity.

Parks crushed spinach leaves, a cherry, a red beet, a yellow beet, and blackberries. I was surprised how bright the colors came through.

I rinsed out the t-shirt to reveal the beautiful palette of colors that was left behind!
