Sixth Grade – Fourth Grade – Second Grade

SOCIAL STUDIES – World History (Core G):

This fall, Haley will be entering sixth grade. I can’t believe we have a middler schooler! Jordan will be in fourth grade and Parker will enter second grade. This year, Haley will be using the Sonlight Core G package.

FIVE IN A ROW (FIAR) Curriculum:

We’re looking forward to rowing the next level of books this year. We’ve had so much fun and made so many wonderful memories in the first two levels. This program is still the highlight of our homeschool day. As the kids get older, their schedules fill up, but somehow FIAR manages to get everyone around the table having a good time.

SOCIAL STUDIES – Intro to World History II (Level C):

Parker will be using the Sonlight Intro to World History II (Level C) program. We ordered the updated version since Sonlight made a few changes since we used it with Haley.

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Reading:

Haley will use the Core G readers and language arts for spelling and grammar lessons.

Jordan will use the fourth grade readers and language arts 4 package for spelling and grammar lessons.

Parker will use the second grade readers and language arts 1 package for spelling and grammar lessons.

Handwriting without Tears:

Jordan continued his cursive program using the HWOT (Handwriting without Tears) Cursive Handwriting Level 4 book.

Parker will be using the HWOT (Handwriting without Tears) Level 2 book.

Math:

Singapore Dimensions Math:

This year we decided to switch to Singapore Dimensions Math program.

Haley will be using the Dimensions Math Grade 6 books.

Jordan will be using the Dimensions Math Grade 4 books.

Parker will using the Dimensions Math Grade 2 books.

SCIENCE:

Haley will be using Sonlight’s sixth grade science program included in the Core G pack.

Parker will be using Sonlight’s second grade science program included in the Level C pack.
