BIBLE:
Memory Verse:
Parker has worked on his memory verse and finally was ready to recite it.
Great job Parks!
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Grammar Grab Bag:
I created a Fall on the Farm Grammar Grab Bag for this week’s language arts activities.

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.
Spelling:
On Monday, Parker cut out his spelling cards and used them to practice writing his spelling words using the practice worksheet (in GGB).
On Tuesday, he used his spelling cards to complete his spelling sentences.
Syllables:
I printed his pumpkin syllable cards and placed them in our dry erase pocket.
He “sliced” the pumpkins on the syllable using the instruction mat in the GGB.
Afterwards, he worked on the Pumpkin Syllables Read, Color, and Divide worksheets.
Interjections:
This week Parker was learning about interjections. We reviewed the grammar lesson using the IG.
After the lesson, Parker completed the Scarecrow’s Interjections worksheet (in GGB).
MATH:
Measuring Length:
I created a Measure-Me-Math – Measuring pack to go with his Singapore Math unit he was finishing next week.

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.
This week Parker practiced measuring centimeters and inches.
SCIENCE:
Ears:
This week we learned more about the human ear and how they work. We brought out a few supplies and conducted a few easy and fun experiments.
We used a rubber band to demonstrate the sound wave vibrations.
We stretched the neck of a balloon to simulate the stretching of vocal chords.
The boys took turns singing into a paper towel roll and feeling the sound waves as gentle vibrations.
JUST FOR FUN:
This was an apple-filled weekend for our family.
Apple Tasting Tree:
We continued to add apples to our tasting tree.
I made some healthy apple scones (skinny taste).
Apple Picking:
We took the kids apple picking this weekend with their aunt and uncle.
Our fridge is packed and we have overflow. It’s a good thing we love apples in this house….apples with cheese, apple pie, apple cake, applesauce!
