LANGUAGE ARTS:
5th Grade:
This week, we reviewed descriptive paragraphs in his Grammar Ace notebook.
3rd Grade:
Grammar Grab Bag:
I created a Seusstastic Grammar Grab Bag (GGB) for this week’s activities.

You can purchase your copy here at our TPT Store.
Spelling:
I set out Parker’s spelling cards, letter tiles, and spelling mat (in GGB).

We practiced spelling words with vowel combinations.

Afterwards, Parker used his spelling cards to practice writing his spelling words.
Rhyming Words:
I set out his One Fish, Two Fish rhyming cards (in GGB).

Parker matched the fish words to their rhyming fish bowls.

Afterwards, he used his fish cards to complete the rhyming word match worksheet.

Parker also practiced writing his own rhyming words.
Reading:
Our spring reading this week included a mix of Dr. Suess, history, and weather.
SCIENCE:
Wrapping Up:
We wrapped up our TOPs Radish unit this week.
Parker measured and recorded the last of the “Grow, Grow, Grow” data.
Into the Garden:
Our garden boxes were not “spring planting” ready, but I cleared some space to transplant his radish sprouts.
They looked a bit sad, but I added some vitamins to help establish them. We’ll just have to wait and see!
Water Cycle:
Since we finished TOPs ahead of time, Parker joined Jordan in his FIAR science unit.

We read The Water Cycle together.
The boys painted their water cycle wheels and we set them aside to dry.
We put our water cycle wheels together. They turned out really cute!
