“THE CHOICE”
BIBLE:
Character Lessons:

Jordan continued reading through the FIAR Bible and character lessons. We split up any remaining scripture verses over the rest of the week. I try to give him a “daily bite” to accompany his assigned scripture verses.
Memory Verse:

Jordan memorized Luke 22:19 while rowing this chapter.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Thee and Thou:

We learned a little bit about William Penn and the Quaker movement. I also found a paragraph about “Thee” and “Thou” in The Story of the World Vol 3.
SCIENCE:
Woodwork:

Since Betsy was using her father’s woodworking tools, I thought Bub may want to read about woodworking. He loves electric guitars, so I found a start to finish chapter on electric Guitars!

As expected, he whipped the book open and read all about making guitars before I was able to explain the connection to Betsy 🙂
FINE ARTS:
Increasing Sensory Awareness:

We started this lesson by incorporating a little science. I had Jordan read about our ears and how they work in The Usborne Book of Knowledge.

We opened up the sliding door and listened to the sounds in the room, in the house, and finally outside. Bub has extraordinary hearing, except when he’s uninterested. This activity was right in his wheelhouse.
