SOCIAL STUDIES:
Geography – Egypt:

Parker recently studied ancient Egypt in his Mystory of History lessons, so today he read Living in Egypt.

Afterwards, he located Egypt and the Nile River in his World Atlas book. Then he used the Around the World worksheet to color-code all the places Teedie visited.
Character – New Homes:
After reading about Teedie moving to his new home, we learned how houses are built.

We sat together on the couch and read How a House is Built by Gail Gibbons.
Geography – Long Island, New York:
Since we were reading about Long Island, I took a moment to read about New York

Parker and I read This is New York by Miroslav Sasek.
Connecting Historic Events:
We read through the historic events and assembled our timeline.
SCIENCE:
Field Day:

After talking about field days, Parker read Field Day on our Epic app.

Chapter Book GRAB BAG:
I created a Grab Bag for the You’re on Your Way Teddy Roosevelt Mini Unit. The Grab Bag series is a collection of worksheets and/or activities that I created while studying the FIAR Chapter Book units with my children.

You can purchase your copy HERE at our TPT Store.
*NOTE: Please be aware that any printable from the Grab Bag series may have worksheets that are similar and/or the same as those available in our other printables. We try to include anything that could enhance your student(s) learning experience as you row the chapter book series.
Pinterest Board:
You can find most of the activities, ideas, and printables from this post on our You’re on Your Way Teddy Roosevelt Pinterest Board.
Youtube Playlist:
As with our other rows, we created You’re on Your Way Teddy Roosevelt playlist with read-alouds, music, science, and other clips.
