Bible
This week we worked on big brother’s Lentil activities, and our calendar’s during our Bible readings.
I added several fun Bible cartoons to our Core A playlist that complimented our Bible stories.
Sing the Word
I created a set of Bible verse tracers to go with his Sing the Word Bible verses. So far, I’ve created a pack for letters A-F and G-M. You can purchase them from my TPT store for $1.00 each.
Each day we listened to the verse. The first day, he traced the Bible verse. The next day, we cut it out and pasted it into his Bible Notebook. He continued to work on memorizing it until he could recite it.
Language Arts
This week was all about the letter “B”. I created ” B is for BB-8″ as his letter character.
I cut out the construction paper pieces and we glued them to his ABC Notebook.
He also worked on forming his letter “B” and listening to his letter of the week songs on his our Core A playlist.
We also sang our “Days of the Week” song and Parker put our days of the week cards in order on our whiteboard.
This week we were teaching the 5 W’s (Who, What, When, Where, and Why). I found a great idea on pinterest. We traced our hand on white construction paper, cut it out and glued it to a half sheet of red construction paper. We then wrote the 5 W’s on each finger.
Later, we used our “grammar hand” to help us create an ice cream invitation (this week’s creative writing assignment).
The boys played with our Curious George magnet set and ate circus cookies while listening to our Curious George read aloud.
History
We learned about Ancient Egypt, watched a few videos from our Core A playlist, and made Egyptian collars.
We had fun this week and look forward to Week 3!
