“TODAY AND TOMORROW”
BIBLE:
Character Lessons:

Jordan continued reading through the FIAR Bible and character lessons. We split up any remaining scripture verses over the rest of the week. I try to give him a “daily Bible bite” to accompany his assigned scripture verses.
Memory Verse:

I assigned Luke 19:10 as Jordan’s memory verse while rowing this chapter.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Writing and Discussion Question:
This was a fun discussion point. Jordan won first prize for his “heroes and villains” night at youth group. He and I worked together, all summer long, to create his Jack Sparrow costume. He was beaming when he won.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Patriotism:
As suggested in the FIAR manual, I ordered the Everything You Need to Ace American History in One Big Fat Notebook.

In addition to reading about patriotism in the FIAR manual, I had Jordan read from this book each everyday.
SCIENCE:
Constellations Continued:

Jordan continued reading Find the Constellations, a book suggested from the “Why Do Stars Twinkle”, science unit from chapter 13.
HELPFUL LINKS:
Chapter Book GRAB BAG:
I created a Grab Bag for the Betsy Ross: The Designer of Our Flag Mini Unit. The Grab Bag series is a collection of worksheets and/or activities that I created while studying the FIAR Chapter Book units with my children.

You can purchase your copy HERE at our TPT Store.
*NOTE: Please be aware that any printable from the Grab Bag series may have worksheets that are similar and/or the same as those available in our other printables. We try to include anything that could enhance your student(s) learning experience as you row the chapter book series.
Pinterest Board:
You can find most of the activities, ideas, and printables from this post on Betsy Ross: Designer of Our Flag Pinterest Board.
Youtube Playlist:
As with our other rows, we created Betsy Ross: The Designer of Our Flag playlist with read-alouds, music, science, and other clips.
